SONG OF THE PINES CHORUS
Song of the Pines Chorus celebrates 53 years of creating and presenting its unique harmonies in Prescott and its neighboring communities as a proud affiliate of the International Sweet Adeline organization. The Chorus can be seen and heard throughout each year performing for many philanthropic groups in the community including the annual Acker Foundation Christmas event each December known as “Acker Night ”.
With an average membership of 30 women, the chorus boasts many competition successes including 5 first place regional awards, multiple regional medalist awards and a prestigious 4th Place ranking at the 2011 International Harmony Classic competition.
Song of the Pines is dedicated to education, performance and competition. Each rehearsal includes vocal education, physical focus targeting performance energy and ongoing camaraderie. Our members come from every walk of life, representing a wide range of age groups. The joy of singing and creating our unique sound, brings us back each week with renewed energy and eagerness to learn, perform and “ring” chords.
