UNDERSTANDING AND COMMUNICATING WITH THOSE WHO SUFFER FROM MEMORY LOSS AND DEMENTIA

Ronda Hatfield, LPN, is a retired home health nurse worked with caregivers and facilitated caregiver support groups over the last 15 years of her career. She will lead a presentation and discussion on developing kind and compassionate interactions with those experiencing memory loss and dementia. She will show a DVD by Teepa Snow, MS, occupational therapist and dementia care specialist. This presentation and discussion will be split into one and a half hour sessions, Wednesdays Sept. 18th and 25th, 5-7:30, Fellowship Hall. Ronda notes, “As an inclusive church that welcomes all, this is a way to include members of our church family.”
